Ring Size Guide
Method 1: String or Paper Strip Method
Steps
- Wrap the string or paper around the base of your finger.
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Lay it flat and measure the length in millimetres.
- Match the measurement to a UK ring size using our chart below.
YIRU Tip: Finger size fluctuates during the day — measure at different times for accuracy, especially at the end of the day.
Method 2: Soft Measuring Tape
This is one of the most precise DIY options.
Steps
- Wrap the tape around both the base of your finger and the knuckle.
- Record the measurements (in mm).
- Compare with a standard UK or international size chart.
Note: Fingers on your dominant hand may be slightly larger. Always measure the exact finger the ring will be worn on.
Method 3: Printable Ring Size Chart
- If you already have a well-fitting ring:
- Print our YIRU Ring Size Guide (Download Here) at 100% scale.
- Place your ring over the printed circles.
Match the inside edge to the closest ring size.
If your ring falls between sizes, choose the larger for comfort — especially for wide bands.
Method 4: Measure a Ring You Already Own
Steps
- Use a ruler or calliper to measure the inner diameter of your existing ring (mm).
- Refer to the chart below to find the equivalent UK or US ring size.
- Optionally, compare against our printable guide for visual accuracy.
