Ring Size Guide

Method 1: String or Paper Strip Method

Steps

  1. Wrap the string or paper around the base of your finger.
  2. Mark the point where the ends meet.
  3. Lay it flat and measure the length in millimetres.
  4. Match the measurement to a UK ring size using our chart below.
YIRU Tip: Finger size fluctuates during the day — measure at different times for accuracy, especially at the end of the day.

Method 2: Soft Measuring Tape

This is one of the most precise DIY options.

Steps

  1. Wrap the tape around both the base of your finger and the knuckle.
  2. Record the measurements (in mm).
  3. Compare with a standard UK or international size chart.
Note: Fingers on your dominant hand may be slightly larger. Always measure the exact finger the ring will be worn on.

Method 3: Printable Ring Size Chart

  1. If you already have a well-fitting ring:
  2. Print our YIRU Ring Size Guide (Download Here) at 100% scale.
  3. Place your ring over the printed circles.

Match the inside edge to the closest ring size.
If your ring falls between sizes, choose the larger for comfort — especially for wide bands.

Method 4: Measure a Ring You Already Own

Steps

  1. Use a ruler or calliper to measure the inner diameter of your existing ring (mm).
  2. Refer to the chart below to find the equivalent UK or US ring size.
  3. Optionally, compare against our printable guide for visual accuracy.
